CONSTANTIUS GALLUS COINS

Flavius Claudius Constantius Gallus, was a cousin of Constantius II. He received the rank of Caesar in A.D. 351. He was made Governor of the Eastern provinces ; his rule was so harsh and oppressive that his subjects complained to the Emperor. He was arrested on the journey. At Pola, in Istria, he was tried, condemned and put to death in A.D. 354.
